Mad woman in Aba, Abia State, gave birth to a set of female twins on a heap of refuse at the weekend and stoned one of them to death. According to reports, the woman in her mid 20s delivered in the wee hours of Saturday without any assistance on top of a heap of garbage close to an AGIP filling station at Alaoji, along the Ikot Ekpene Road, near Aba. On giving birth to the girls, the insane woman allegedly fell asleep. However, when one of the babies started crying, she woke up, used a stone she found within the place to hit her and the child died before she could be rescued by onlookers. Paul I.K Dairo has sued Etisalat and Optima Media Group who stages the yearly Nigerian Idol show for the unauthorized usage of his song, Mosorire. He accused them of reproducing his song on the show and airing it on air as well as their you tube channel without his consent. According to a source, Paul Play wouldn't have sued them if only the companies agreed to his terms when his lawyers wrote them, but they turned deaf ears to him and his lawyers instead, which left them with no choice than to sue them. Paul Play has sued them for N200m for special and general damages for the flagrant and unlawful exploitation of his copyrighted work. The case is expected to be heard in court soon. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has advised Nigerian students studying in Eastern Ukraine to vacate the area due to violence and unrest in the region. Ambassador Abdulaziz Dankono, Under-Secretary in charge of Economy and Consular in the ministry, gave the advice today in an interview with NAN. He said the advice became necessary following the deteriorating security situation in the war-torn region, stating that the situation in the region is not getting better because of the continuous fight between the separatists and Ukrainian military. He said the over 1000 students in that zone had been advised to leave, but 146 students are still left in the region. It will be recalled that 9 Nigerian students were kidnapped by the rebels last month, but luckily regained their freedom after some days.

Just like the parents of the Chibok schoolgirls abducted more than 100 days ago, the parents of two toddlers have been in misery and agony since June 30, 2014, when the children failed to return from school. The two little children, three-year-old Chisom Nweke and her sibling, Somtochukwu who is 18 months, have not been seen for almost 35 days. Until they were declared missing, the toddlers were pupils of Master’s Vessel Academy, a private school in Obeozalla Nkanu West Local Government Area, Enugu State. Heart-rending tale about the missing kids began when the proprietress of the school, Mrs Dorothy Okafor, had to undertake an assignment outside the school and handed over to her deputy, 35-year-old Uchechukwu Onah, to take charge of the school. Chika Ike has disclosed why she does not have a child yet. According to her, the only reason why she is yet to have a child is because she is still very young. The leader of the Movement for the Actualization of the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB), Chief Ralph Uwazuruike, yesterday gave what he called last warning to all Igbo resident in the northern part of Nigeria to leave the zone or face dire consequences. Uwazuruike gave the warning in Okwe near Okigwe, Imo State, after an emergency meeting with leadership of the movement. He said the directive had become necessary to avoid further loss of Igbo blood in the North due to the increasing bloodletting by Boko Haram insurgents. He said the pronouncement of a prophet was not needed for any Igbo man or woman to know that Nigerian security forces could no longer guarantee their safety since the insurgents had not relented in their wicked bloodletting activities.
