Male Nurse Jailed For Having Sex With Corpse Of 82-Year-Old Woman

A male nurse has been jailed for two years for
having sex with the corpse of an 82-year-old
patient.

Alejandro Razo, 62, had been tasked with
preparing the elderly woman's body for the
mortuary.

But he was caught by a colleague with his
trousers down having sexual contact with the
pensioner's remains.

The woman had died of natural causes hours
earlier at Sherman Oaks Hospital in California.
CBS Los Angeles said Razo had worked at
various healthcare facilities during his 20-year
career.

He was employed as a male nurse at Sherman
Oaks Hospital in January last year when he
was assigned to care for the 82-year-old
woman.

Razo was found guilty in June of having sexual
contact with human remains.
According to a release by Los Angeles County
District Attorney's Office he will serve two
years in a state prison, including 180 days in
county jail.

Razo has also been ordered to undergo weekly
psychological counselling sessions when he is
released under supervision.
